pronunciation dilemas

This video is so funny, it reminds me of certain classes when drilling just makes no difference at all. Never say a teacher's job is easy, there's always students like these to test our patience. But seriously, when do you say enough is enough and move on?! Maybe this is where using a voice recorder would be a good idea- get the student to tape himself and listen back to it while comparing to the teacher. They have to hear themselves to see their mistakes sometimes.

My job

Like I said, I am a TEFL teacher in Trento, which is in the north of Italy. I work in a private language school teaching a range of levels, to adults and children, both General and Business English.
I am also a Cambridge ESOL examiner which is keeping me busy at the moment.
During summer I am DoS at a summer school in England, in Cambridge. I like going back to England in summer, it's hectic but I get my 'culture' dose, which I am in need of. I miss England and it's nice to go back, especially to Cambridge where I used to live, but it's nicer coming back to Italy, which feels like home now!
I did my DELTA last year, that was a tough year, but it was something that I had wanted to do for ages, and I'm pleased I did.

Welcome to my blog

Hi and welcome to my blog. I have been living and working in Italy for about 6 years as a TEFL teacher. I want to take this opportunity to share my experiences, good and bad, about living in this beautiful country and working as a TEFL teacher here.
I came here initially for only a three month contract in a school in Lecco, and promised myself I would go to a different country after that, as Italy never appealed to me. But, after a while it really grew on me and I have been here eversince.
I have lived in Lecco, Bergamo and now Trento. I've been in Trento for 3 years now, it's a pretty place which is surrounded by mountains, but must admit I am not a great mountain fan! There's other stuff to do too, so it's not that bad!
In my free time I like relaxing, going to new places to see, wine, cinema and reading.
